Roë Holcombe : Stained Glass and Mosaic artist

Many moons ago, when I was a young lass I studied at Canterbury College of Art and have been involved in many different kinds of arts and crafts activities ever since, including needlework, contemporary embroidery, soft furnishings and wedding cake design and making.......... and now I am a glass artist and have been for about 20 years or so.
After taking a course in stained glass I was hooked and through not wanting to be wasteful with the remnants, I then also took up Mosaics. I am available for commissions for bespoke windows, mirrors, garden sculptures or other projects and also run courses in the traditional arts of stained glass and Mosaics from my bijoux studio in Bexhill. We also run courses for kiln fired glass pendants and beginners Reverse Glass Gilding which is also known as Verre Eglomisé - a really beautiful form of art on glass using gold and silver leaf. |
Exhibitions |
I have been a regular exhibitor at an annual exhibition in Monchique, Portugal.
Recently I took part in a worldwide project which was exhibited in Ravenna, Italy. I also regularly exhibit at craft fairs in the Algarve, Portugal and here in the South East of England. |
Commissions |
Commissions are welcomed, ranging from stained glass and mosaic garden decorations to a large mosaic murals. I am always happy to be contacted to discuss any projects, large or small.
